From your application to a remediation plan

DPDP Saf, the DPDP Compliance & Consent Audit, reads how your application handles personal data and turns it into findings you can act on.

What DPDP Saf does

A DPDP control assessment built from how your application really handles personal data.

  • Data mapping

Personal-data flows from the user to web app, API, database, processors and backups.

  • Consent audit

PASS, PARTIAL, FAIL, UNKNOWN or NOT APPLICABLE for each processing activity.

  • Purpose analysis

Compare the stated purpose with the data each flow actually carries.

  • Retention review

Find flows and stores where the retention period is not documented.

  • Data Principal rights

Access, correction, erasure, grievance and consent withdrawal routes.

  • Remediation tracking

A Fix first plan from P0 to P3, with owners and status.

  • Audit reports

Export the assessment for your privacy team or auditors.

Every processing activity gets a clear result and the reason for it, so reviewers know exactly what to look at.

  • Missing evidence is never counted as metWhere a basis cannot be found you see "basis not established, review required".
  • Purpose limitationPurposes are checked against the categories each flow carries.
  • Retention and rightsRetention periods and Data Principal rights routes are checked for each system.

Control coverage you can trace to evidence

Coverage for each control area is calculated from the evidence in your data map, and the Fix first list shows what to address before anything else.

  • Seven control areasConsent, purpose, retention, rights, sharing, security and governance.
  • Fix firstFindings ordered P0 to P3 by severity and exposure.
  • Coverage from evidenceControls with evidence divided by controls assessed, nothing assumed.

Every step on the record

Imports, assessment runs, finding updates and remediation changes are written to the EndSecure audit logs, and the assessment exports as a report.

What it is, and what it is not

Plain boundaries, so nobody reads more into a report than it says.

What it is

  • A DPDP control assessment built from your application's data map
  • A clear picture of where personal data flows and which categories go with it
  • Audit support: potential gaps, review-required items and a prioritized remediation plan
  • An auditable record of the assessment in the EndSecure audit logs

What it is not

  • Not legal advice, and not a substitute for your legal or privacy counsel
  • Not a certification, and not a statement that you are compliant
  • Not a guarantee: results reflect the evidence in the data map you provide
  • Not a scanner of your production databases; it works from the map you import

Worth knowing: DPDP Saf is not legal advice. It helps you assess controls against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 using the information you import. Where information is missing it says so, for example "retention period not documented", instead of assuming a control is in place.

What is DPDP Saf?
DPDP Saf, the DPDP Compliance & Consent Audit, helps you assess privacy controls against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Import an application data map as JSON or CSV, or start from the demo map. It maps personal-data flows, audits consent, purpose, retention, Data Principal rights, sharing, security and governance, and produces a DPDP control assessment with a prioritised remediation plan.
Does DPDP Saf make us DPDP compliant?
No tool can do that on its own, and DPDP Saf does not claim to. It is audit support: it shows potential gaps and items that need review, based on the evidence you provide. It is not legal advice, so confirm conclusions with your legal or privacy counsel.
How is control coverage calculated?
From evidence. For each area, coverage is the number of controls with supporting evidence divided by the controls assessed. A control without evidence is never counted as met; it shows as a potential gap or as review required, and missing details are named plainly, for example "retention period not documented".
Is the assessment itself auditable?
Yes. Imports, finding updates and remediation changes are recorded in the EndSecure audit logs, and the assessment can be exported as a report for your privacy team or auditors.
